Questions:

1. Provide a full reference for your article in APA style. If you do not know how to do this, you can use the APA manual at the UIC library or the Purdue OWL website to help you.

Explain the following about your selected article:

2. Why did the authors want to conduct this study? This is typically explained in the Introduction section of the paper.

3. How did the authors perform the study? You should provide an overview of the methodology. You should explain (broadly) who the participants were and how data was obtained from participants. Explain the constructs measured in the study. You can find this information in the Methods section of the paper.

4. What did the researchers find? This can be tricky for many students. Take your time reading the Results section and do your best.

5. What do the findings mean? What are the implications of this study?

6. The last part of your paper should provide your own thoughts and reflections on your topic and your journal article. Explain your reactions to the study, including limitations of the research or if/how the article answered your general question/topical area.

7. Explain the study that you would conduct as a follow-up to this study. Who would you study? How would you study it?  Be sure to explain why you would do the study, how you would do the study, and what the findings might be. Be as comprehensive as possible.
