Bridging the Gap: Digitized Health Records

Electronic Health Records (EHRs) can be adopted on various platforms such as cloud-based or enterprise-based architectures. The cloud-computing architecture has become the latest solution for computer services and resources. Experts in the healthcare industry believe that this platform can be integrated with EHRs to improve the quality of care, health care services, and research (Kuo, 2011). A description of EHRs implementation on a cloud-based platform is presented. It will discuss the implementation, use, security, and regulations on cloud-based EHR systems.
