Business Ethics

A full-sentence outline helps you create the structure of your paper and the topic sentences of your paragraphs at the same time. Think of this document as your blueprint for the final paper. By approaching the outline in this way, you can more easily move paragraphs around and edit the flow of the paper before you write the full paper. This makes editing for the flow of information easier.

For this activity, create a full-sentence outline for your final paper. Each sentence will act as a topic sentence for a new paragraph in your paper. The entire paper should be outlined using this method. This will allow your instructor to provide feedback to you about the information flow in your paper.

In organizations today, the emphasis is on performance and the contribution of a function to the success of that organization. Senior managers demand evidence of effectiveness and efficiency. They need objective ways to measure achievement and strategically plan for the future. The heart of success at BANKS Industries is the HR department’s responsibility to guide managers in their ability to screen, hire, and retain quality employees.

As part of the BANKS management team, you have been assigned to a task force that is considering how the HR department should be strategically involved as the BANKS workforce becomes more diverse and experiences expansion. As part of a preliminary discussion, you have been asked to generate a report on the following issues:

response to peer DB nursing

The United States of America is home of the free because of the brave. Our Veterans were quick to accept the call to serve this great country and it’s unfortunate that we are slow to give them the best and fastest healthcare possible! It is simply unacceptable that our Veterans should have to wait months upon end to receive necessary healthcare treatment. Senator Jeff Flake shared his story of how his father, a Veteran, had to wait an entire month before being seen by a physician for a medical condition. In order to get quicker service, Senator Flake’s father elected to seek medical help outside of the VA system (Flake, 2017). This problem could have been easily avoided had all Advanced Practiced Registered Nurses been able to practice to the full extent of their medical training and ability without the supervision of a physician. Unfortunately, this is not the case, especially for CRNAs. “CRNAs already working in Veterans Health Administration (VHA) facilities across the country continue to be underutilized despite their ability and willingness to help ensure veterans have access to the timely, high-quality healthcare that is their right and reward for service to our country” (Nimmo, 2017). “Just imagine how many more veterans could be cared for if start times for surgical and other types of cases requiring anesthesia were no longer delayed unnecessarily while waiting for supervising anesthesiologists to become available” (Thew, 2017). What’s ironic about this whole situation is that since WWI, CRNAs have been the main providers of anesthesia care to injured military personal on the front lines of all US military actions overseas (“Certified,” 2016). For combat anesthesia, CRNAs are the primary providers, and they have to be able to do it all (Wentling, 2016). It is quite sad to read that the Veterans Affairs Department is taking heat over this issue. One article even put it that nurses are “acting” as doctors by administering anesthesia without a doctor’s supervision (McKelway, 2016). CRNAs are not “acting” as doctors! CRNAs are highly trained compassionate nurses who have been administering anesthesia for over 150 years (“Certified,” 2016). Dr. Daniel Cole, president of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, ignorantly states that “surgery and anesthesia are inherently dangerous requiring physician involvement, particularly for veterans who are sicker and often have multiple medical conditions that put them at greater risk for complications,” (Feller, 2016). My rebuttal to this statement is a simple question: Who are the anesthesia providers caring for the acutely injured military personal on the front lines?

Homework Help W2a1

Women and Healthcare
Women have healthcare requirements in addition to those of men because of their biology and gender roles. Due to their gender roles, they are frequently responsible for the health and healthcare of others. The resources they need to care for others may create constraints on their ability to care for themselves.

Also, it is important to consider the workplace when considering women’s health issues because the position of women in the workforce has great impact on the healthcare they receive. Many businesses have recognized the need to create a more diverse workforce by selective hiring based on the need to increase selected groups in their workforce. Some businesses have been more proactive than others. For example, let’s consider that a business workforce’s diversity plan includes the following benchmarks:

Maintain women’s representation at a minimum of 60 percent.
Increase women’s representation in nontraditional occupations from 16 percent to 20 percent.
Increase women’s representation in senior positions (grade twelve and above or equivalent) from 28 percent to 35 percent.
On the basis of what you have learned so far, answer the following questions:

How can the dimensions of diversity, such as age, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, and religion affect individual or collective healthcare needs and capabilities?
Could the above statements constitute discriminatory hiring practices? Why or why not?
What would the implications of diversity-based policy development be in relation to healthcare needs?
Describe a workforce diversity plan using at least three dimensions of diversity. Additionally, explain how it relates to improved health-service delivery.
